1st Qtr 2007 "Doing the Right Thing" Employee Award Winner

 Kerrie Quinn

Left to Right: Kerrie Quinn, Willis Robinette

Kerrie Quinn, Commercial Loan Officer for the Boise 10th & Bannock Commercial Banking Center, was presented with the 2007 1st quarter “Doing the Right Thing” award as a result of her involvement with the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation, the Downtown Boise Association and the United Way.

One of the first organizations that Kerrie became involved in was her college fraternity, Kappa Kappa Gamma, in the late 1970’s.  The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation is one of the largest Greek foundations in the world.  For the past three years, Kerrie has served as the President of the Foundation.  Her most recent undertaking was encouraging an individual and her family to create a $2.5 million leadership training endowment.  Kerrie’s efforts were successful, and the endowment was the largest gift the Foundation ever received.

Another of Kerrie’s long-term volunteer positions is with the United Way.  For the past 20 years, she has been involved in various aspects of the organization, chiefly the Board of Directors, Chair of the Member Accountability Committee and most recently the Women’s Initiative Group.

Kerrie was a board member with the Downtown Boise Association for six years.  During her sixth year, the Association asked her to become President.  During her tenure, the Downtown Boise Association created the first strategic plan for the organization to help make Boise the best place to live in the country.

In recognition of Kerrie's community involvement, Banner Bank presented her with a plaque, a day off with pay and a $1,000 donation to the charity of her choice. Kerrie chose to give her donation to the Treasure Valley United Way.
