When it comes to funding education and fostering a sense of community, we’re eager to get on board—especially when the festivities involve food.

This past year, we sponsored and attended countless events with both objectives in mind, from A Taste of Excellence, benefiting the Sierra College Foundation in Rocklin, Calif., to Sip, Swirl and Savor, supporting the Community College of Spokane (Wash.) Foundation.

We championed job training at Goodwill’s Chef’s Dinner in Tacoma, Wash., celebrated community at the Lowell (Oregon) Blackberry Jam Festival and the Corning (Calif.) Olive Festival, and licked our chops at San Diego’s Taste of Downtown.

With so much good food and so many fine chefs here in the West, it makes sense to highlight these assets, bring people together and support meaningful causes like education.
