Forbes has published their 2018 list of America's Best Banks and it includes Banner at number 35.
This is the ninth straight year Forbes has measured the financial condition of the nation's largest banks ranking them using data provided by S&P Global Market Intelligence. This is the second year Banner has been eligible for the list due to asset size requirements.
Using regulatory filings through Sept. 30, 2017, Forbes used 10 metrics based on growth, profitability, capital adequacy and asset quality. Metrics include return on average tangible equity, return on average assets, net interest margin, efficiency ratio and net charge-offs as a percent of total loans. Nonperforming assets as a percent of assets, risk-based capital ratio and reserves as a percent of nonperforming assets were also factors.
The list ranks banks and thrifts ranging from $8.8 billion in assets to the nation's largest at $2.6 trillion in assets. View the complete list of best banks in 2018.
