Overdraft Protection Banner Bank encourages all of our Checking clients to carefully track their balance to avoid overdrafts. Additionally, the Bank offers overdraft protection to help prevent declines of your debit card transactions and so any inadvertent overdrafts, electronically or via check, can be covered. The Bank provides two primary Overdraft Protection options: Link your Banner Bank Savings (or other deposit) account to your Checking account. Should your checking account become overdrawn, funds will be transferred from your linked account in $25 increments. A lesser amount may be transferred if your linked account balance is not sufficient to satisfy a full $25 increment. There is a $6.00 transfer fee charged only on a day in which the transfer from a deposit account successfully prevents overdrafts on the protected account. Link your Banner Bank Personal Line of Credit to your Checking account. Should your checking account become overdrawn, funds will be transferred from your linked Personal Line of Credit in $25 increments. A lessor amount may be transferred if the available balance of the line of credit is not sufficient to satisfy a full $25 increment.1 Tracking your balance The Bank offers several different ways to track your checking account balance.
