Bank your way with two text banking options. View your account balances and transaction history on the go using Text Banking on your mobile device.

Introducing natural language text banking: text us your questions to 51980

Step 1: Enroll your mobile number with the Banner Virtual Assistant

  • Text “Link Accounts” to 51980
  • Tap the URL in the response to proceed to the login screen
  • Enter your Banner Bank Online Banking username and password
  • Tap “Allow It!”
  • Select a delivery method for your Secure Access Code and tap Continue
  • Enter the Secure Access Code, check “Register Device!” and tap “Validate” 
  • Select the check box next to “I authorize Banner to send text messages to …” and tap “Verify”
  • You will get a “Success!” message and receive a text

Step 2: Text banking inquiries

  • Text your question to 51980 using natural language

Continue to use traditional text banking: transfer funds by texting short codes to 226563

Step 1: Enroll your mobile number

  • Go to Services, Text Enrollment
  • Toggle the enrollment button from OFF to ON
  • Enter your phone/SMS number, agree to terms and save

Step 2: Nickname your accounts with Short Codes

  • Go to Settings, Account Preferences
  • Select the account you wish to enroll
  • Select the SMS/Text tab
  • Click or tap the SMS/Text Enrollment toggle to On to enroll the account
  • Click the edit icon (pencil) in the SMS/Text Display Name field to give your account a nickname (up to 4 characters)

Step 3: Text your commands

  • Text command to 226563 using the codes below

Text Command Options

BAL or BAL <account nickname> To show account balance
HIST <account nickname> To show account history
XFER <from account nickname> to <account nickname> <amount> To transfer funds between accounts
LIST To receive a list of keywords
HELP To receive a list for who to contact for help with Text Banking
STOP To stop all text messages to currently enrolled mobile device (text banking and SMS notifications)
START To enable text message send/receive
