Overdraft ProtectionBanner Bank encourages you to carefully track your account balances to avoid overdrafts. We offer overdraft protection that you can opt-into to protect you when there are not enough funds available in your account to cover the amount of a transaction. If you choose not to opt-in to overdraft protection, ATM and debit card transactions that would cause an overdraft will automatically be declined. Paid transactions resulting in an end-of-day balance of $5 or less will not be declined or returned and neither an overdraft fee nor returned item fee will be assessed in these cases.
Banner Bank provides two primary options for overdraft protection:
Tracking your balance
Banner offers several different ways to track your account balances. Those include:
- Banner Bank Online Business Banking or Banner Bank Mobile Banking. These tools not only display balances, but provide the opportunity to establish balance alerts through either SMS or E-mail
- Banner Bank-By-Phone (800-527-6435) can be used at any time to verify your account balance
If you need help managing your finances, we recommend visiting the Federal Trade Commission's webpage regarding Consumer Information on Money & Credit.
Overdraft protection by line(s) of credit subject is to credit approval and limited to residents of Washington, Oregon, Idaho or California, or to current Banner Bank deposit clients.
