Forbes Names Banner the #1 Bank in California

We are pleased to announce Forbes ranked Banner Bank #1 in California on the 2026 list of America's Best-In-State Banks. The annual ranking, developed in partnership with Statista, recognizes banks that earn the highest marks from clients on trust, service, financial advice, digital tools and overall satisfaction.

Statista weighted 80% of the ranking on survey responses from U.S. residents. Participants were asked questions such as how satisfied they were and how likely they were to recommend the U.S.-based banks at which they have a checking or savings account, those at which they had an account within the last three years, and those they knew through friends and family. Participants were also asked to rate their financial institutions on factors including trust, customer service, digital tools, the quality of financial advice given, and whether fees were transparent and reasonable.

Additionally, Statista gathered more than 1.2 million publicly available reviews and ratings online about each bank written between February 2023 and March 2026. This research was incorporated into the analysis, accounting for the remaining 20% of each bank’s ranking.

Banner has earned a spot on the Forbes 100 Best Banks in America list for 10 consecutive years, as well as other nationally-recognized accolades for service, financial strength, trust and additional key indicators in the financial services industry (view all current recognition).
