Money.com Lauds Banner as a Top Five Bank in the West

The editorial team at Money.com named Banner Bank among the top five banks in the West in its Best Banks & Credit Unions of 2026 report. As a part of that recognition, they also identified us as having the best interest-bearing checking accounts.

Previously known as Money Magazine, Money.com annually researches financial institutions across the U.S. to determine the top few in each region. This year, the editorial team examined checking account terms and features of 300 institutions — including national banks, online banks, credit unions, regional and state banks. They focused on flagship accounts for everyday clients, looking especially for attractive interest rates and low or no fees. Where applicable they also considered factors like a bank’s number of branches, the size of its ATM network and how well it fared in online reviews and third-party rankings like those produced by J.D.
